Arsenal have set an asking price of £50million for Gabriel Magalhaes with Juventus seriously interested in signing the Brazilian as Matthijs de Ligt's replacement.
The Gunners signed Gabriel from Lille two years ago in an £18million deal with add-ons set to take the final fee up to £27million, and he has been a brilliant addition in defence. Arsenal have built up a strong Brazilian presence in the squad over the past few years, continued this year with the arrivals of Gabriel Jesus and Marquinhos.
Juventus are targeting a move for Gabriel with De Ligt expected to leave the Serie A giants this summer, as a move to Bayern Munich edges closer after the Dutch defender snubbed Chelsea's interest. Juve had identified Kalidou Koulibaly as their ideal replacement, but the Senegalese defender is set to sign for the Blues.

Juventus have approached the Gunners regarding a potential deal for Gabriel, and a transfer could be possible if the Italian club can match the Premier League side’s asking price of £50million for the defender, according to The Independent. Juventus see the Brazilian as a suitable option after an impressive season for the Gunners.
The Old Lady hope that their good relationship with Arsenal, as well as the fact there is some depth in that area with the return of William Saliba, will mean negotiations are positive and move swiftly. Saliba's future at the Emirates Stadium remains uncertain with the north Londoners in the market for a left-sided defender to provide quality in depth.
Arsenal will not entertain any offers below a fee of £50million for Gabriel, but a player exchange could be an option for Juve, with Adrien Rabiot's name already being mentioned as a possible makeweight. Mikel Arteta is keen to strengthen his midfield options this summer with the Gunners being linked with moves for Youri Tielemans, Sergej Milinkovic-Savic and Oleksandr Zinchenko.
Rabiot has been linked with a move to Arsenal and Chelsea this summer, with former teammate Gianluigi Buffon having previously described the France international as a mix of Paul Pogba, Arturo Vidal and Claudio Marchisio. Zinchenko is a versatile option that can provide cover at left-back and central midfield, two key areas that the Gunners are actively pursuing deals for in the transfer market.
football.london understands that Arsenal have stalled their negotiations for Tielemans, but interest from Manchester United could see a deal be accelerated before the transfer deadline. Arsenal were interested in signing Lisandro Martinez, as per the Athletic, but with Manchester United seemingly set to sign the Ajax defender, Arsenal have turned their attention to Manchester City star Zinchenko.
