The Arsenal away kit for the current campaign which ends on Sunday has gone down as something of an iconic strip for the Gunners. A modern classic if you will, that is sure to be worn by supporters fondly long into the future and perhaps be compared in the history books to the bruised banana and lightning bolt of the pre-2000s.
However, the kit’s replacement for the forthcoming season has been leaked and seen on Footy Headlines. It has received scathing reviews from supporters, and honestly, I can see why.
The yellow colouring with the seemingly random black lines which snake across the torso and sleeves lack the elegance and nostalgia of its predecessor. However, supporters who don’t want to see the black design move on have been given some reprieve by Arsenal and adidas.

Arsenal officially released their new home kit for the 20th anniversary of the 'Invincibles' season. It includes gold accents all over the shirt which are in memory of the gold Premier League trophy awarded for going the entire campaign unbeaten.
However, alongside that and perhaps going somewhat under the radar Arsenal also released a new black shirt. Aaron Ramsdale is spotted in the promotional material sporting the new goalkeeper shirt which comes in short sleeves – a favourite style of the stopper.
Rarely has a goalkeeper shirt received so much attention but Arsenal supporters have suddenly begun to take quite a liking to the design. Although it lacks the bronze-gold designs of the previous season’s away shirt, the effect on the front sports a kite-like grey pattern which is a subtle detail quite like the 3D ‘AFC’ effect.
Although it has been sad to say goodbye to that now iconic shirt, it seems that we still have another year of Arsenal, or at least Ramsdale and Matt Turner, sporting a black Arsenal shirt.
