Arsenal have no intention of selling Leandro Trossard, after knocking back an approach from Saudi Arabia for the versatile forward.
Saudi side Al Ittihad made an initial loan offer with an obligation to buy that would eventually have been worth up to £25million, but the Gunners insist Trossard is not for sale at any price.
The summer transfer window closed for English clubs on Friday night, meaning Arsenal would be unable to replace the 29-year-old until January at the earliest. The Saudi window remains open until Monday evening.
Arsenal allowed Emile Smith Rowe, Eddie Nketiah, Fabio Vieira and Reiss Nelson to leave the club this summer and only bolstered their forward options with the loan signing of Raheem Sterling from Chelsea on deadline day.
Trossard signed for Arsenal from Brighton in January 2023 in a deal worth an initial £21m after the club missed out on Mykhailo Mudryk to Chelsea, but has become a key part of Mikel Arteta's squad.
The Belgian international is a hugely popular figure among Arsenal fans and has developed a knack for scoring crucial goals, often off the bench.
Trossard began this season as second-choice on the left wing behind Gabriel Martinelli, but appears to have swiftly ousted the Brazilian.
After scoring the opening goal in a superb cameo away to Aston Villa last month, he was handed a first league start of the campaign in Saturday’s 1-1 draw with Brighton.
