Arsenal's season is just about to get underway in two days' time.
The Gunners have endured an incredible pre-season with big wins against Chelsea and Sevilla making the headlines for Mikel Arteta's side this summer. Off the pitch though, Edu has been hard at work to ensure that Arteta has the squad to achieve top four this season and five signings have been made ahead of the opening game of the season but there is scope for more to happen, if the Spaniard's latest words are to be taken at face value.
"We’re still hoping to do something else if the market allows us to do that," he said after the Sevilla win. "You've seen some movement in the other direction in the last few days so we want to get the perfect balance and the plan we wanted right at the beginning. Whether we can accomplish that or not is another story, but I’m happy with where we are now." With this in mind, football.london takes a look at all the latest Gunners rumours doing the rounds currently.

Youri Tielemans transfer boost
Leicester City's latest James Maddison move could spell positive news for both Arsenal and Spurs as the pair remain hopeful in the transfer races for two of the Foxes stars whose futures will depend on other outgoings.
According to Toon reporter for Sky Sports Keith Downie: "Second Newcastle offer for James Maddison rejected by Leicester. Newcastle deciding whether to continue their pursuit of Maddison or move on to other targets. They don’t want to overpay for players due to FFP regulations."
Most significantly though, Arsenal will be given the most encouragement out of the London trio due to the fact that Maddison staying put would mean that a Youri Tielemans move wouldn't be such a significant blow to the East Midlands side.
With only one year to go on his deal, cashing in on the Belgian may not seem like such a bad idea from Rodgers' perspective, as long as the former Norwich man was to stay put and a suitable replacement will be found for the deeper midfield position.

Arsenal miss out on Carney Chukwuemeka
According to 90min, the Gunners were 'open to trying to land' the Aston Villa youngster this summer.
However, Chelsea have won this transfer race after they have agreed a £20million fee with the West Midlands side for the contract rebel who is set to be in London for his Blues medical.
Just like the west Londoners have done with Omari Hutchinson this summer, they have inflicted yet more transfer misery on the north Londoners who like Todd Boehly's newly looked Chelsea project, want and aim to build for the future with exciting signings as demonstrated by the Marquinhos, Matt Turner and Fabio Vieira signings.

Arsenal on red alert for Memphis Depay
The Gunners have an opportunity to sign a back-up to Gabriel Jesus in the form of former Man United forward Memphis Depay.
With Frenkie de Jong unwilling to budge on his Chelsea and Man United transfer stance, this has led Barca president Joan Laporta to become creative in his approach to fulfilling this mission. Oscar Mingueza has recently completed his Celta Vigo switch whilst their current number 9 seems primed to be the next out of the door as Robert Lewandowski's arrival has seemingly signalled the end of the Dutch international's stay in the Spanish city.
Spanish journalist Ferran Martinez has updated with his latest tweet: "Everything indicates that Memphis will leave. All parties are now searching for a new club, as the player knows he won’t get minutes here. Juventus interested, among other clubs."
If either Arsenal or Chelsea were to make a move for a player who only attained 13 goal contributions during his first stint in English football, only a bargain fee would be required which would be music to the ears of Edu and Todd Boehly.
This is according to the same journalist Martinez who added that Barca only wants around £16-17million for the player who was held in high regard by previous manager Ronald Koeman. Although, the latest seems to indicate that one top European club could not have to pay anything to sign Depay. This is as per Fabrizio Romano who has tweeted: "Barcelona and Memphis Depay lawyers are in negotiations to reach an agreement on free agency. No way for €20m fee. Depay will accept to leave Barça only in case he’ll find the right option for his future.
"Memphis Depay will only consider top clubs."
