Arsenal 'pushing' for Lucas Paqueta transfer as Ismael Bennacer linked with sensational return

Arsenal have made a busy start to their summer as they look to continue their resurgence under Mikel Arteta.

The Gunners have already spent around £85million, bringing in four new players to bolster his squad heading into the upcoming season. Marquinhos, Matt Turner, Fabio Vieira and Gabriel Jesus have all been confirmed, but the deals look unlikely to stop there. A number of players have been linked with a move to the Emirates this season as the window and pre-season heats up.

With that said, football.london takes a look at the latest transfer rumours surrounding the Gunners.

Lucas Paqueta

Arsenal are 'pushing' hard to beat Newcastle United to sign Lyon star Paqueta, according to French outlet Media Foot. The Brazilian has been linked with the Gunners for some time but the club haven't managed to agree anything just yet.

Ismael Bennacer

Arsenal have made a £34million offer to AC Milan for midfielder Bennacer, according to Calciomercato. The Algerian left the Gunners back in 2017 but the club are said to be interested in bringing him back to north London.

Moussa Diaby

According to reporter Pete O’Rourke, Arsenal could add Bayer Leverkusen winger Diaby to their transfer shortlist if they miss out on Raphinha. Newcastle are currently in talks to sign the French forward, but the Gunners could provide competition for the 23-year-old this summer.
