Arsenal's fixture against Leicester City at the Emirates Stadium will feel the consequences of a fresh rail strike announcement. 40,000 rail workers are taking matters into their own hands following unsuccessful talks to resolve a dispute over pay, jobs, and conditions.
Several strikes have and continue to take place all over the UK, but new plans are set to impact the Premier League clash on August 13. That's because the Aslef union has announced a strike that day which will see train drivers at nine rail companies walk out over pay.
Those companies are believed to include Greater Anglia, Great Western Railway, Hull Trains, LNER, London Overground, Southeastern and West Midlands Trains.

How badly the game will be affected remains to be seen but with thousands of supporters travelling from all over the country to watch their team play, we can probably expect a fair few empty seats at the Emirates Stadium.
With talks over the disputes actively ongoing, there's a chance that planned strikes could be cancelled if agreements are found. However, there also remains the risk of more disruptions, so if you are looking to attend a game in the coming weeks, then make sure you keep an eye on developments.
