Arsenal player ratings vs Tottenham as Bukayo Saka is decisive and Aaron Ramsdale superb

Aaron Ramsdale: Superb at the start of the second half when Arsenal came under pressure and quick off his line. Two smart saves in the first period when his side were on top too. A really focused display. 8.

Ben White: Spurs' attacking thrust seemed to come mostly down their left and with Saka going forward, exposing White was a risk Arsenal were willing to take. He dealt with it well for the most part, but was occasionally caught out of position. 7.

William Saliba: Harry Kane hardly had a sniff for much of the match and a really switched on display from Saliba helped that. Teamed up well with Gabriel. His best display since the World Cup. 7.

Gabriel: Another solid display from the Brazilian. He and Saliba were a real partnership on the night. A few loose touches, but was generally first to every ball. 7.

Oleksandr Zinchenko: The good and bad of Zinchenko were on display here. Excellent in the first half and was key in establishing an essentially four on two dominance in the midfield. However, defensively a little poor as Kulusevski started to cause problems in the second half. 7.

Thomas Partey: A strike that would have been a goal of the season contender was desperately unlucky not to go in. His ball in the build up to Odegaard's shot was superb, though, and he was defensively very good. 8.

Granit Xhaka: Some canny play that made sure Arsenal gave as good as they got in the physical tussle. Got forward to impact the game well at times. 7.

Martin Odegaard: A superbly placed shot to put Arsenal in control of the match. Some lovely touches in the middle while the Gunners were on top in the first half. Faded a touch in the second. 8.

Bukayo Saka: A consistent danger down the right hand side. Allowed to go one-vs-one with Lenglet consistently and the French defender couldn't cope. Two assists and a decisive role in the game. 8

Eddie Nketiah: A great all round display from Nketiah. Had chances to score and in fairness probably should have taken one of them, but his hold up play was so good that it's hard to be critical. 7.

Gabriel Martinelli: His direct dribbling down the left caused lots of problems in the game. Some close control in the box that was dangerous too. 7.
