Arsenal player ratings vs Bournemouth as Reiss Nelson grabs chance but Smith Rowe poor

Aaron Ramsdale: One superb save to stop Bournemouth going two up inside the first half and then another to keep it from going to 3-1. Hardly called upon, but some points-winning saves when he was. 7.

Takehiro Tomiyasu: A really poor game from the Japan international who was unsurprisingly hooked at half time. Uncharacteristically poor in one-vs-ones and a real lack of quality in the final third. 4.

William Salilba: Caught ball watching for the first goal and looked really vulnerable after that. Uncharacteristically lacked composure on the ball too as he looked to keep Arsenal on the attack. 5.

Gabriel: Miscontrolled Quattara's cross to give Bournemouth an early lead but was decent after that. Did play his part in Arsenal looking vulnerable in transition, but the best of Arsenal's centre backs for sure. 6.

Oleksandr Zinchenko: Not at his influential best after Wednesday night, but did help Arsenal maintain pressure as Bournemouth sat back. A real motivator in the squad. 6.

Thomas Partey: Totally lost Senesi for Bournemouth's second but responded with a goal of his own a crucial role in the equaliser. Mixed but overall positive game for the Ghanaian. 7.

Fabio Vieira: Did pretty well in his first league start since September. The game state suited him with Bournemouth so deep. Lacked a little bit of quality with his final ball on occasion though. 6.

Martin Odegaard: Led the Arsenal team through a tough moment and was instantly driving them back up the pitch after the goals. His shooting wasn't always on point, but his application was. 7.

Bukayo Saka: Not the best day for the England international. A little off it with his decision-making in the first half particularly. Got better in the second half but not at his usual recent high levels. 5.

Leandro Trossard: It will be a huge concern that the Belgian pulled up defending a counter attack. With Jesus and Nketiah are out, Arsenal are now severely limited in options up top. 6.

Gabriel Martinelli: Moved into the middle as an out-and-out nine after the injury to Trossard and did pretty well. His shooting was a little wayward at times though. 6.

SUBSTITUTES -

Emile Smith Rowe: Big chance for Smith Rowe with Trossard injured and he didn't take it. Fairly anonymous during his time on the pitch before being subbed off for Reiss Nelson. 5.

Ben White: Got forward to great effect after coming on at half time. Picked the perfect moment to pop up with his first-ever goal for Arsenal. 7.

Reiss Nelson: Instant impact from the Hale Ender who grabbed his chance far better than Smith Rowe. A good assist and then an absolutely outstanding winner with the final kick of the game 8.

Granit Xhaka: Came on too late to influence the game. n/a.
