Arsenal are planning multi-million investments into Emirates Stadium this summer.
football.london understands that the Gunners are launching several projects to improve and upgrade aspects of the stadium, which was officially opened in 2006.
Those include major works on the stadium roof and implementation of in-stadium screens and new turnstile technology to speed up entry for supporters.
Discussions with fan groups are also set to begin over transforming the stadium wraps.
Manchester United were previously criticised by former player Gary Neville for failing to maintain Old Trafford, and it's expected that Arsenal want to avoid a similar mistake with Emirates Stadium.
"The Glazer family have been resilient and stubborn for many, many years. I think they are struggling to meet the financial demands that this club needs and have done for some time," Neville said on Sky Sports.
"If you think about the Manchester United football club they picked up in 2004, it had the best stadium in the country, one of the best in Europe, it had the best training ground in this country, and probably one of the best in Europe."
