Arsenal are planning a £70million spending spree this week if recent reports are to be believed.
football.london understands that Fabio Vieira is set to become the club's third signing of the summer following deals for Brazilian winger Marquinhos and American goalkeeper Matt Turner. The north London outfit have agreed a £34million deal with Portuguese outfit Porto for Vieira, who enjoyed an excellent 2021/22 campaign that saw him net seven goals and provide a further 16 assists across all competitions.
However, the Gunners' summer transfer business is far from complete as technical director Edu looks to wrap up two deals within the next week, according to The Daily Mail. Their report claims that the Brazilian transfer chief is planning to spend £70million next week on deals for Manchester City forward Gabriel Jesus and Ajax defender Lisandro Martinez.

Edu has been in contact with Jesus' representatives in recent months, football.london understands and the player is said to be keen on a move to the Emirates Stadium this summer as he looks for more consistent game time following the arrivals of Julian Alvarez and Erling Haaland at the Etihad. The aforementioned report also claims that Ajax are 'braced' for a £30million bid for Martinez, who is more than capable of playing centre-back, left-back and no.6 - adding some much-needed depth to Mikel Arteta's side if he was to join this summer.
Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur have also been linked with the Argentine international and new United boss Erik ten Hag has previously made it no secret of his admiration for the 24-year-old. “I find Lisandro Martinez an excellent player, he is actually starting material and this is why I talk with him a lot," the Dutchman said during their time at the Johan Cruyff Arena together.
