Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta and captain Martin Odegaard paid tribute to the victims of the Hillsborough disaster ahead of their crucial Premier League clash against Liverpool at Anfield.
Arteta and Odegaard were pictured laying wreaths at the memorial outside of Anfield, almost 34 years after the tragedy that claimed 97 lives.
Arsenal's official Twitter account wrote: ''Our thoughts are with our friends at Liverpool FC and all the families of the victims of the Hillsborough disaster – April 15, 1989.'

A minute of silence will be observed ahead of kick-off this afternoon along with a mosaic to be displayed on the Kop, featuring the Eternal Flames with the number 97.
The Reds will wear black armbands as a mark of respect and there will be a commemorative edition of the matchday programme, with tributes also set to be displayed on LED boards surrounding the pitch.
Arsenal go into the game hoping to extend their lead over Manchester City at the top of the Premier League to eight points.
