Arsenal will be desperate to make the required upgrades to Mikel Arteta's squad without over-spending in the summer transfer window.
Recently, the Gunners have benefitted from smart, concise business in the market. Players such as Gabriel Jesus, Jorginho and Oleksandr Zinchenko have all been purchased for reasonable prices, all reaching peak-level performances this season when called upon.
In January, sporting director Edu Gaspar and Mikel Arteta turned their noses up at Mykhailo Mudryk after refusing to pay the £88 million price tag demanded by Shakhtar Donetsk. Instead, Leandro Trossard was signed for significantly cheaper from Brighton & Hove Albion and the deal has paid off.

The summer Arsenal are unlikely to sway from that trusted transfer policy, despite the magnitude of work that will be required behind the scenes. Yet, any ways to bring in the correct targets will be considered and Arsenal perhaps have one to hand.
Bayer Leverkusen duo Moussa Diaby and Edmond Tapsoba have both been linked with a move to the Emirates Stadium in the past and fit the quota perfectly for what Arteta is looking for.
Another dynamic left-footed winger would only bolster Arsenal's attacking ranks and provide a pacey option off the bench, something Diaby would be perfect for. In defence, a right-sided central defender could be another position required to bridge the gap between William Saliba and his deputy.
If Arsenal were to raid Xabi Alonso's two best players, it could cost Stan Kroenke close to $100million - with the Bundesliga side holding the advantage of having them tied down to long contracts. But with Leverkusen keen to sign Granit Xhaka at the end of the season, the move could work for both parties.
It's going to take some doing for the Gunners to allow Xhaka to leave after his best season in England. However, using the Swiss midfielder's services to bring Diaby and/or Tapsoba to north London could be a smart piece of business.
