Arsenal made sure they remained top of the Premier League on Saturday with a hard-fought 1-0 win away to Leicester City.
The Gunners earned all three points thanks to Gabriel Martinelli's second-half goal. Leandro Trossard thought that he'd put Arsenal ahead in the first 45 minutes before VAR ruled it out and forced Mikel Arteta's side into a much more difficult afternoon at the King Power Stadium.
There was briefly a five-point gap at the top of the Premier League, only for Manchester City to smash Bournemouth 4-1 in an empathic response. Now the Gunners head into Wednesday's game in hand at home to Everton in a bid to give themselves a bigger cushion, as they target a first league title in 19 years.

Wright slams "phenomenal mistake"
Arsenal were denied a penalty during their victory over Leicester in what Ian Wright has labelled a "phenomenal mistake." Bukayo Saka was bundled over in the box by Foxes centre-back Harry Souttar, but referee Craig Pawson refused to point to the spot in what was a frustrating afternoon of officiating decisions for the Premier League leaders.
VAR chalked off what appeared to be an opening goal scored by Leandro Trossard, but Gunners legend Wright was particularly angered by the failure to award his former side a penalty. "That was a ridiculous decision," he told told Premier League Productions. "A phenomenal mistake."

Newcastle line-up Tierney swoop
Newcastle United are eyeing a move for Arsenal left-back Kieran Tierney, Mirror Football understands. The Scot, 25, finds himself behind Oleksandr Zinchenko and Takehiro Tomiyasu in the pecking order and is attracting interest from St James' Park ahead of the summer transfer window.
The Magpies are determined to launch their own Premier League title challenge next season and want serious reinforcements in the summer months. Scotland international Tierney joined Arsenal from Celtic in a £25million transfer move, but his time under Mikel Arteta could soon be up.

Gabriel's rant before Saliba shove
Gabriel Magalhaes briefly laid into Jorginho before being shoved by William Saliba during Arsenal's win at Leicester. The Brazilian defender, 25, yelled at Jorginho during the game for attempting to pass the ball with his shoulder.
Then after the full-time whistle, Gabriel and centre-back partner Saliba were involved in a heated discussion. As reported by the Athletic, the Gunners paid exchanged words before Saliba shoved Gabriel away as they made the walk back into dressing room at the King Power Stadium.
