The January transfer window has been open for nearly two weeks and Arsenal are yet to welcome a new face to the Emirates Stadium.
That is not through a lack of trying though, with the Gunners being linked with a clutch of players around Europe including the likes of Shakhtar Donetsk's Mykhaylo Mudryk and Real Madrid's Eden Hazard. Talks appear to be on for a move for Mudryk and there have been small movements on Hazard, whilst a few other players already in North London could potentially be on their way out over the next few weeks.
With that being said, here are the latest transfer rumours involving the Gunners over the last 24 hours.
Mudryk 'cheerleader' hint
Arsenal target Mykhaylo Mudryk has dropped another hint that he could be set for a move to the Emirates Stadium in the January transfer window.
The 22-year-old has been heavily linked with a move to the Gunners after impressing at Shakhtar Donetsk this season, scoring 10 goals and providing eight assists in 18 appearances. Arsenal have already seen two bids worth up to £62million rejected for the winger but negotiations are still taking place as the Gunners look to strike a deal.
And Mudryk has dropped another hint on his Instagram that he is on the cusp of moving to the Premier League leaders, having previously suggested he wants the move. The youngster posted a seemingly innocuous picture of a pet cat on social media, accompanied by the caption "my biggest cheerleader."
However, eagle-eyed Arsenal fans have noticed that in the background of the post is a television screen donning a fan-made picture of Mudryk in an Arsenal shirt.
Gunners lead Vlahovic race
Arsenal are reportedly leading the race to sign Juventus hotshot Dusan Vlahovic this month.
The Serbia forward was linked with a switch to the Gunners before he moved to Juventus last January, but the Old Lady could be looking to sell up with Mikel Arteta's men interested. According to a report from La Repubblica, Arsenal are plotting a move to sign Vlahovic having followed the 22-year-old for some time.
It is also claimed that the Gunners are at the front of the queue to sign the striker, although Juventus would demand a monster transfer fee should they agree to sell. Juventus want £97.5million for the former Fiorentina star, who has scored six goals in 10 Serie A appearances this season.
Rice urged to make Arsenal switch
Emmanuel Petit believes that Declan Rice should turn down a move to Chelsea in favour of a switch to Arsenal.
Rice, who has been capped 39 times for England, has previously stated his ambitions to be competing in the Champions League and would like to emulate his national teammates in the future. Rice has just under 18 months left on his current deal at the Hammers and could be allowed to leave at the end of the season for a cut price.
The 23-year-old has risen in price due to form and age to over £100m, however, his contract situation may see his value now lowered ever so slightly. Nevertheless, ex-Arsenal midfielder Petit has urged Rice to move to the Emirates Stadium instead of a switch to the Blues.
He told Compare.Bet: "I know that Chelsea wants him, but if I were Declan Rice, I wouldn't go to Chelsea, I would go to Arsenal. The two clubs are going in different directions and the way Arsenal is playing, he would be the perfect option for Arsenal."
