Lisandro Martinez would prefer a move to the Premier League this summer over staying with Ajax.
The Argentine has been linked with a big-money move and is reported to be of interest to both Arsenal and Manchester United. And despite Ajax qualifying for next season's Champions League following their Eredivisie title win, Martinez would still opt for a move if a bid is accepted by his current club.
It comes as Arsenal's plan to gain the upper hand in contract negotiations with Bukayo Saka appears to have backfired. And Gabriel Jesus has been pictured in and Arsenal shirt for the first time as a leaked photo has given away his new shirt number.

Martinez's transfer preference
Ajax defender Lisandro Martinez would be keen on a move to the Premier League this summer.
The defender has been the subject of three separate bids from Arsenal already, although his current club are not in need of selling him. Manchester United are also reportedly keen to reunite the player with his former Ajax boss Erik ten Hag and could rival the Gunners for his signature.
And while it remains a mystery which club Martinez would prefer to sign for, he would see either as being preferable compared with the prospect of remaining in the Netherlands.
Saka contract plan backfires
Arsenal's plan to gain some leverage in their contract negotiations with Bukayo Saka appears to have backfired.
The Gunners have pursued the signature of Leeds United winger Raphinha this summer, and the Brazilian would have become a direct rival for Saka in Mikel Arteta's starting XI had the move come off. But it appears Arsenal are set to be gazumped with Chelsea agreeing a fee with the Elland Road outfit, and Barcelona also still just about in the frame for him.
It means Arsenal may be more reliant on Saka next season than they ideally would have liked to have been, and that they may need to do whatever it takes to keep hold of him.
Jesus' new shirt number 'leaked'
Gabriel Jesus looks set to become Arsenal's new number nine after photos of the player posing in his new shirt were leaked.
The Brazilian striker's £45million move from Manchester City now looks set to go ahead with the Gunners seeming to have agreed a fee with his club and terms with the player and his representatives. And while club photographers were in the Emirates taking photos of the striker on Thursday, a photo taken from the stands has circulated online.
It means Jesus could follow Alexandre Lacazette, who last wore the number nine shirt for Arsenal before completing his move back to Lyon this summer, and that an announcement could be imminent.
