Gabriel Jesus breakthrough
Arsenal have reached a verbal agreement with Manchester City to sign Gabriel Jesus in a deal worth around £45million, according to various reports. Talks between the club and Jesus' representatives have been ongoing for months, football.london understands, so personal terms should not be a problem.

Jesus is believed to be one of Mikel Arteta's priority targets this summer following the departures of Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Alexandre Lacazette.
Arsenal 'favourites' in Raphinha race
The Athletic is reporting that Arsenal are set to 'intensify' efforts to sign Leeds United winger Raphinha next week, with there a sense that the Gunners are now current favourites to land him. London rivals Tottenham and Chelsea were also said to be interested, but they are believed to have turned attention to other targets. The Gunners have already seen a bid rejected for the 25-year-old, though an improved offer is expected to be made in the coming days.
Martinez talks ongoing
Arsenal remain keen on bringing in Ajax defender Lisandro Martinez and talks are ongoing after an opening bid was rejected, the Daily Express reports. Arteta is said to be a fan of the Argentina international's technical ability and versatility, which can see him operate as a centre-back, left-back and defensive midfielder.
Pablo Mari is expected to leave and Nuno Tavares is attracting plenty of loan interest, so Arsenal are understandably eager to maintain strong numbers across the backline.
