Here is your Arsenal morning digest for Sunday, July 10.
Torreira twist
Forgotten Arsenal midfielder Lucas Torreira is part of Mikel Arteta's plans, according to the player's agent, Pablo Bentancur. Speaking to SportItalia, per Tutto Juve, Bentancur said: “Torreira would like to stay and play in Italy but as of today, Arsenal have called him up for the tour they will do in America, so it looks like he's part of their plans.”
Torreira spent last season on loan with Serie A outfit Fiorentina but the Italian side were unable to agree a deal to sign him on a permanent basis.

Merson's advice
Arsenal hero Paul Merson has told his old club to try and sign Lazio midfielder Sergej Milinkovic-Savic over Leicester City's Youri Tielemans this summer. “Youri Tielemans would fit nicely at Arsenal if James Ward-Prowse takes the soft option and stays at Southampton,” Merson wrote for the DailyStar.
“I start to worry when that happens when a player plays it safe like that. What are you going to do, realistically, at Southampton? West Ham wanted Ward-Prowse and that would have been a good move for him too because they will finish above Saints.
“But I said before that Arsenal should have gone in for him. The thing is, if he’s staying at Southampton, maybe he doesn’t have the ambition? Leicester’s Tielemans would tick the box for Arsenal. He’d be a decent alternative. But Sergej Milinkovic-Savic is the player I would go for.
“If Arsenal get either of those two, they have had a major window. Now more than ever, Arsenal need a top-class midfielder to compete with the best. And I think Savic is a lovely player. A really top-drawer player. The way he played for Lazio last season I personally think he is the best midfield player in Italy."

Jesus on Nketiah link-up
Arsenal new boy Gabriel Jesus has made no secret of his admiration for fellow Arsenal striker Eddie Nketiah after the Gunners defeated Nurnberg 5-3 on Friday. “It was so good to play with Eddie,” Jesus said.
“We’re both together and make short passes that’s good. Two strikers there is a little bit different. We have a lot of qualities and it was so good to play with him.”
The Brazilian international was finally announced as the north London club's fourth signing of the summer last week, joining for £45million from Premier League champions Manchester City.
