Here is your Arsenal morning digest for Monday, March 28.
Everton 'willing to sell' Dominic Calvert-Lewin
Everton will reportedly sell Dominic Calvert-Lewin this summer with Arsenal said to be interested in signing the Toffees striker. The 25-year-old has endured an injury-ridden campaign thus far, scoring just three goals in 11 appearances.
That is a far cry from the sensational form he exhibited last season in which he scored 21 times across all competitions for Everton.
Arsenal will be in the market for a new striker once the transfer window re-opens after failing to replace Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang following his January move to Barcelona and could potentially make a move for the England international.
Arsenal to make Rashford offer
Arsenal are expected to have a very busy summer transfer window, as manager Mikel Arteta plans to continue the process of moulding the squad into one that fully represents his identity.
Strengthening the forward line is imperative and according to the Mirror, Arsenal could make a surprise offer for Manchester United's Marcus Rashford.
Kieran Tierney praise
Arsenal left-back Kieran Tierney has been showered with immense praise by former Chelsea and Scotland winger Pat Nevin, who believes that the 24-year-old is 'good enough to join any club in the world.'
Since arriving in north London back in the summer 2019 transfer window, Tierney has been a consistent performer for Arsenal, giving the team natural width on the left flank and delivering excellent final-third quality.
This has led to Real Madrid manager Carlo Ancelotti reportedly monitoring his situation and the Italian is said to be interested in bringing Tierney to the Bernabeu in the upcoming window, with Nevin arguing that he would have no problems in slotting into the Spanish giants' first team.
"If he did join Real Madrid then I’m convinced he would have no problem fitting in there: he wouldn’t need time to settle or adjust,” he said. "Kieran’s good enough to join any club in the world and hit the ground running."
