Edu plots £100m double Juventus transfer swoop

Technical director Edu is set to try and make up for the missed opportunities of signing a central midfielder and forward in the summer by plotting a £100million double transfer swoop for Juventus stars Dusan Vlahovic and Fabio Miretti, according to Calciomercatoweb.

The Gunners had previously tried to sign Vlahovic back in the January transfer window before the Serbian striker opted to sign for Juve in a £66million deal.

Scouts watch 'next Luka Modric'

Arsenal had scouts at the match between Croatia and Denmark watching Lovro Majer's performance as they continue to plan for the January transfer window, as per The Mirror.

Majer has been compared to former Tottenham star Luka Modric in his homeland and has impressed for Ligue 1 side Rennes registering 18 goal contributions in 44 appearances since signing for the French side last year.

The Gunners missed out on signing Douglas Luiz on Deadline Day and could look to sign Majer to provide depth and add more quality to Mikel Arteta's midfield options in the second half of the season.

The tweet read: "A member of the Black Stars medical team has confirmed to me Partey's exclusion was only precautionary. Partey felt uncomfortable around his knee and was advised to pull out. He should be ready for Tuesday's game."
