Arsenal news: Edu given Joao Felix boost as Gunners make Mykhaylo Mudryk transfer decision

Here is your Arsenal morning digest on Sunday, December 11.

Felix boost

Atletico Madrid star Joao Felix seems destined for a move away from the Spanish capital with plenty of talk occurring around his future with Chelsea and Arsenal both interested.

Felix has impressed for Portugal at the World Cup, grabbing a goal against Ghana in the group stages before notching two assists in the 6-1 last-16 win against Switzerland.

Mudryk decision

Arsenal could postpone their plans to sign Shakhtar Donetsk star Mykhaylo Mudryk following the injury to the Gunners frontman Gabriel Jesus.

The summer arrival of Jesus from Manchester City has been a significant boost to Arsenal and his injury, which it's likely to keep him out until February, could prompt Mikel Arteta to change his January transfer window plans.

Despite being labelled 'the chosen one', CalcioMercato have claimed that Arsenal may hold off on their plans to sign Mudryk after the extent of Jesus’ knee injury, which required surgery to fix, was revealed.

Gakpo claim

Cody Gakpo has once again been told that Arsenal will be his best transfer destination as opposed to Manchester United with the PSV star looking likely to secure a January exit.

Gakpo has backed up his superb domestic form with several scintillating performances in Qatar for the Netherlands, although their World Cup journey ended in the quarter-finals.
