After enjoying an impressive season under Mikel Arteta, Arsenal are looking to significantly strengthen their squad in the transfer window.
Arsenal finished second in the Premier League, their best finish since Arsene Wenger left the club, and secured a return to the Champions League after a six-year absence. If the Gunners are to compete both in Europe and in the league next season then they will need to add more depth and quality.
It should be a busy summer for the Gunners and Mirror Football has rounded up all the latest news from the Emirates.
West Ham confirm Rice exit
After West Ham beat Fiorentina 2-1 to win the Europa Conference league, owner David Sullivan has confirmed the game will be Declan Rice's last for the club amid interest from several clubs including Arsenal.
"I think it has to be [his last game]. We promised him he could go. He set his heart on going. You can't ask for a man who has committed more to us this season. In due course, he has to get on and we have to get a replacement - or several replacements," Sullivan told talkSPORT.
"It's not something we want to happen. We offered him £200,000-a-week 18 months ago. He turned it down. It's cost him £10million to stay at West Ham in that time (in lost wages). And he wants to go. You can't keep a player who doesn't want to be there."
Lazio target Jorginho
Arsenal may have only signed Jorginho from Chelsea in January, but the midfielder could be set to depart the Emirates this summer.
According to La Lazio Siamo Noi, Jorginho's former boss Maurizio Sarri is keen on a reunion with the midfielder he managed at Napoli and Chelsea. The report states the 31-year-old is set to leave Arsenal after only six months and 'wouldn't mind returning to Italy' after spending five years in England.
Sarri recently held talks with Lazio's president Claudio Lotito and mentioned Jorginho as a player the club should pursue. However, the report notes that the 'costs' of signing the midfielder are 'challenging' and 'being evaluated'.
Arsenal to compete with Spurs over Nelsson
Galatasaray defender Victor Nelsson is on the radar of both Arsenal and Tottenham, according to reports from Turkey.
Both clubs are looking to strengthen their defence this summer and Takvim claim that Spurs are the 'most serious buyer' interested in Nelsson. Fanatik, meanwhile, state that both Arsenal and Sevilla have also joined the race for the 24-year-old.
The Danish international has a £25m (£21.5m) release clause and has impressed for Galatasaray this season, making 33 league appearances as they won a 23rd Super Lig title.
