Arsenal may need help from London rivals Chelsea to be able to sign Sassuolo striker Gianluca Scamacca, according to reports. The 23-year-old has been heavily linked with a move to the Emirates this summer.
It comes as Mikel Arteta continues his search to acquire a forward this summer following Alexandre Lacazette ’s confirmed departure. Discussing his plans to add a forward in the window, the Spaniard said: “He puts the ball in the net – that’s priority number one. Goal threat. Any successful team needs enough goal threat in the squad. Without it, you have nothing.
“You can play good football, but you need enough goal threat in the team. The other thing is that he has to complement the other people we have, personally and on the pitch. We need the right profile.”

Gabriel Jesus is among one of the names heavily linked with a move to the Emirates, along with Inter’s Scamacca. Reports claim that the Gunners have already made a £30million bid for the Italian forward.
And according to Calciomercato, via Football Italia, this is the case, but the club are waiting on one thing for a potential move to go through. The report claims that the Nerazzurri are waiting on potential deals for both Romelu Lukaku and Paulo Dybala before deciding on a move for Scamacca himself.
This could mean that Arteta is relying on near-rivals Chelsea letting the Belgian return to the San Siro just one year after he left. Lukaku has struggled under Thomas Tuchel, with further reports claiming a potential loan to Inter could be on the cards.
While there is plenty of time left before the window closes, the Gunners may be hoping the Blues can do them a favour.
