Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has seemingly opened the door for Manchester United to revive their push for the top four after predicting further twists and turns. United are five points behind fourth-placed Arsenal - having also played two games more.
Following their draw against Chelsea on Thursday night, United can only amass 64 points this season and the Gunners have already totted up 60 with five matches to come. However, that run-in does include intriguing fixtures against West Ham on Sunday afternoon and fifth-placed Tottenham (58 points) on Thursday, May 12.
Tottenham remain in the mix for Champions League qualification. United will await results from Arsenal and Tottenham with interest before their Monday night meeting with Brentford - but even Ralf Rangnick had given up the chase before some rather surprising comments from Arteta.

During his pre-match press conference, Arteta told Sky Sports: "I don't think so [a two-horse race]. I think there are still going to be twists and turns.
"We have difficult matches to play and we all know how difficult it is to win games in the Premier League. We have had two really good results that have put us in a really good position, but we also know it is about doing that again when we play West Ham.
"In this league when you are able to win consecutively away and at home, it gives you a huge platform and things quickly change. We have some momentum now and we want to make the most out of it."
