Arsenal look to have made a decision on signing Youri Tielemans from Leicester this summer as Edu seemingly has reached an agreement for Juventus star Arthur Melo.
The Brazilian midfielder was linked with a move to the Emirates Stadium back in January but the transfer never materialised. Arsenal want to add a new central midfielder to their squad after completing five deals so far this summer, including Gabriel Jesus, Oleksandr Zinchenko, Fabio Vieira, Matt Turner and Marquinhos.
Arsenal's squad is fairly sizeable now after returning loanees and only one major departure in Alexandre Lacazette, but that hasn't stopped Edu working his magic in the transfer market. The Gunners have been linked with Lucas Paqueta and Arthur's Juve teammate Adrien Rabiot, but it's the Brazilian who looks set to move to the Emirates on an initial loan deal with the obligation to buy.

Reports in Italy, via the Express, suggest Edu has reached an agreement with Juve to sign Arthur on a season-long loan deal with an obligation to make the loan permanent next summer. The 25-year-old made just 31 appearances for the Old Lady last term and missed out on a move to North London earlier this year.
football.london understands the Gunners remain interested in signing Youri Tielemans, but have stalled their interest as they explore alternative targets. Tielemans has a year left on his current deal with the Foxes and would be available for a cut-price fee, but it looks as though Arsenal are heading in a different direction.
By agreeing a loan deal now, it gives the Gunners the opportunity to splash cash in other areas that need strengthening now before bringing Arthur in on a permanent deal next summer. This could be ideal for Edu with the north Londoners already having spent over £100million for the second summer in a row.
