Arsenal make transfer decision on winger with promising youngster set to stay with Gunners

Kido Taylor-Hart is set to stay with Arsenal despite speculation that he could head out on loan, football.london understands.

The 19-year-old winger was a regular for Kevin Betsy's under-23s side early last season before a pubic overload injury saw him miss much of the campaign. He recovered to finish the season strongly but was subject to speculation over his future after not being involved in any of the opening Premier League 2 fixtures for the under-21s this season.

However, Taylor-Hart started as Mehmet Ali's side beat Cambridge United 2-0 in their opening Papa John's Trophy group game on Tuesday and it appears he will be staying in North London for the time being.

Taylor-Hart has trained with Mikel Arteta 's first team on several occasions in the past and will be hoping to continue that upward trajectory this season. In an exclusive interview with football.london earlier this year, the Hale Ender opened up on making the step up and how fellow academy products have helped him along the way.

"I know some of the younger guys like Bukayo (Saka), Emile (Smith Rowe) and Eddie (Nketiah)," he says. "They all talk to me. There are a few of the older players who are quite vocal. Granit (Xhaka), he likes to talk to the young players a lot."

Despite missing much of last season due to injury, Taylor-Hart has maintained a positive mindset throughout, and is now keen to kick on his development.

"At the end of the season I feel good," he said in the interview. "Because of the injury there was a few things that I had to go through and they were good experiences. Personally I think that this season was actually quite good for me. I learnt a lot."
