The summer transfer window is on the horizon and with a whole host of clubs looking to strengthen their ranks, it could be a very busy one. Arsenal are one of those sides that will be hopeful of adding to their squad in the coming weeks, having narrowly missed out on the Premier League title to rivals Manchester City this season.
A few other signings could help push the Gunners a step closer to their competitors, with the return of Champions League football adding another conundrum into the mix. For Mikel Arteta, there is still another level that his side have to reach if they want to win the big competitions.
"If we want to be the real deal, we can’t be happy with what we have," the Spaniard told the media after beating Wolves on the final day of the Premier League season. "And we have to be next season much better."

Arsenal have traditionally finalised their transfer business early in the window and this summer may be no different as they appear to have made some moves. football.london understands that Declan Rice is a top priority for the Gunners as Arteta looks to add to his midfield.
However, according to BILD, Arsenal have already made a "lucrative offer" for Real Valladolid wonderkid Ivan Fresneda ahead of the window. The 18-year-old was heavily linked with a switch in January, but it didn't go through as the side now look to prepare for the future.
Ben White was often the sole right-back option throughout the season due to an injury for Takehiro Tomiyasu that kept him out for a while. It remains to be seen whether any deal will go through for Fresneda in the next few weeks, but it's a position that could be strengthened.
