Arsenal make Liverpool and Man City fixture announcements after UEFA Champions League decision

Arsenal's Premier League clash against reigning champions Manchester City has been brought forward a day as a result of the confirmed UEFA Champions League fixture schedule.

It was announced last month that the game at the Emirates Stadium - which was originally scheduled to take place on Thursday, October 20 - would be moved if Pep Guardiola's side were in Champions League group stage action five days later, and this has proved to be the case.

City will now face Bundesliga side Borussia Dortmund away from home on October 25- marking Erling Haaland's return to Signal Iduna Park - and Arsenal have moved to reveal details of a new date and kick-off time for when Mikel Arteta comes up against his former club in north London.

"Following the confirmation of UEFA fixtures, our home game against Manchester City will now take place on Wednesday, October 19," a statement via the club's official website reads. The game was originally scheduled for Thursday, October 20 but due to City's involvement in the Champions League the following Tuesday, our game against the reigning Premier League champions has been moved to an earlier date. The match will be a 7:30pm kick-off, and will be shown live on Amazon Prime Video."

With that said, Arsenal have also confirmed that the Champions League schedule won't have any impact on the clash with Liverpool 10 days prior: "Meanwhile, our home game against Liverpool on Sunday, October 9 will remain on that date, still kicking off at 4.30pm and shown live on Sky Sports," the statement continues.

Here are Arsenal's Premier League games for October:

1/10 - Arsenal vs Tottenham - 12.30pm

9/10 - Arsenal vs Liverpool - 4.30pm

16/10 - Leeds vs Arsenal - 2pm

19/10 - Arsenal vs Manchester City - 7.30pm

23/10 - Southampton vs Arsenal - 2pm

30/10 - Arsenal vs Nottingham Forest - 2pm
