Arsenal have "definitely" made an enquiry over a transfer for West Ham winger Jarrod Bowen, according to reports. The 25-year-old enjoyed an impressive campaign last time out, even earning himself a first England senior national team call-up.
Bowen joined the Hammers from Hull in 2020 in a deal worth roughly £20million, having had other offers turned down at the time. While the winger has shown glimpses of his ability, his 24 goal involvements in 36 Premier League games last season has shown the true extent of artistry with the football.
The links with Arsenal come as the Gunners look to bolster their attacking ranks in depth and quality over the summer. So far, over £100milllion has been spent by the club, with more set to be spent should they find the right targets.

football.london understands the current transfer priority for Arsenal by the end of the window is a central midfielder, however there is also keen interest in PSV's Cody Gakpo. The versatile forward is another player who can cause problems anywhere across the frontline, fitting the profile of Mikel Arteta's playing style.
Bowen and Gakpo aren't the only links for forwards as recent weeks have seen the likes of Raphinha, Serge Gnabry and Leroy Sane rumoured with a switch to Arsenal. However, it is the West Ham man who is the latest to emerge as an apparent target for the club.
CBS Sports journalist Ben Jacobs told GiveMeSport that the Gunners have "definitely" enquired over a move for Bowen this summer, but were given a clear stance from the Hammers: "With Bowen, West Ham’s stance remains that they really don’t want to sell, so there’s a lot of clubs circling over Bowen, but the challenge, much like Declan Rice, is persuading West Ham to sell during this window and West Ham remain pretty intent not to let him go.
“So, there’s lots of excitement about Bowen moving potentially to a club like Arsenal, but it’s all hypothetical at the moment, because West Ham don’t want to sell. But Arsenal have definitely made an enquiry around Bowen to see what the situation is, but that’s what they’ve been told.”
Bowen's current deal runs until 2025, making it even tougher to reduce the potential asking price that comes with a dwindling contract. Every team has a price for some players, but it remains to be seen if they could tempt their London rivals and if they do, just how much it would cost them.
