Arsenal have confirmed that they will play Premier League rivals Manchester United in a pre-season friendly in the summer.
The Gunners will face Erik ten Hag's men in New York on Saturday July 22. A statement on the club website read: "As part of our pre-season preparations for 2023/24, our men's first-team will play against Manchester United in New York this summer.
"We’ll be lining up against the Red Devils in a high-profile pre-season match at MetLife Stadium on Saturday, July 22, marking the first time the two clubs have played each other on American soil.

"The match will be another important moment in our build-up to next season, and will be our second match during our pre-season trip to the United States. Before travelling to New York, the squad will be in Washington DC, where we will play against the MLS All-Stars team at Audi Field on Wednesday, July 19 in a match which has already sold out."
Upon the announcement, sporting director Edu Gaspar said: "The plans for pre-season are making good progress, with the match against Manchester United in New York being another important part of our preparations. Playing against strong opposition in a great stadium in front of so many of our supporters in New York will provide Mikel and the squad with a strong test and great experience ahead of the new season.
"We’ve now announced two matches in the US in July and look forward to announcing further details of our pre-season soon."
Alongside confirmation of THE fixture, the Gunners have provided an update on how supporters can purchase tickets. "Exclusive pre-sale tickets for the Manchester United match in New York will be available from Tuesday, May 2, with general on-sale ticket access beginning on Thursday, May 4.
"For access to the pre-sale, supporters are invited to sign up at www.OldRivalsNewYork.com."
