Arsenal have joined Tottenham and Newcastle United in the race for Ajax midfielder Mohammed Kudus who has impressed at the World Cup for Ghana. Kudus scored twice in his nation's 3-2 win over South Korea which has placed them in a great position to qualify for the last 16 in their final group match against Uruguay.
Leicester midfielder Youri Tielemans is the Gunners' primary option in midfield and football.london reported in the summer that Arsenal have already agreed personal terms with the 25-year-old but are willing to wait until next summer to sign Tielemans on a free transfer when his contract expires.
Alternatives to the Belgian midfielder for Arsenal have emerged in recent weeks with Palmeiras midfielder Danilo a long-term target that could join in January while Leandro Parades could be a possible option regarding his current situation on-loan at Juventus from Paris Saint-Germain.

Arsenal are not the only club keeping an eye on Kudus though, after he backed up his impressive displays for Ajax so far this season with commanding performances for Ghana at the World Cup, as Bild reported last month that Spurs were interested in the player. But a new report from 90 Min states that the Gunners and Newcastle went one step further by asking about his ‘current situation’ in the Netherlands.
Kudus was a summer target of Liverpool but a deal was not struck between the two clubs and following his great start to the season with Ajax, where the 22-year-old has scored nine goals from 20 appearances in the Eredivisie and Champions League, more clubs are interested in a potential January swoop.
Ajax could look to cash in on Kudus after his World Cup performances with another eight clubs, including PSG and Borussia Dortmund, interested in acquiring his services with the report adding that Kudus could be available for around £30million in the winter window.
