Here is your Arsenal morning digest on Friday, January 21.
Arthur offer made
Arthur Melo's agent Frederico Pastorello was spotted at Arsenal’s training ground earlier this week to discuss a potential move.
Now Italian newspaper Gazzetta Dello Sport, via Sport Witness, has reportedly revealed the details of that conversation.
It’s said that Arsenal's offer is now concrete and that the Gunners are willing to go beyond an initial loan.
Pastorello made it clear to Edu that Arthur wants a ‘medium-term experience’ at Arsenal, as his intention is to have time to settle in the Premier League.
It’s just not clear yet how much Juventus will ask for a permanent move, if that does end up being negotiated.
Vlahovic reveals his career turning point
There is significant interest in Arsenal target Dusan Vlahovic from some of Europe's top clubs and if the 21-year-old's previous words are to go by, there's someone to thank for the continued upwards trajectory in his career.
Vlahovic was at Fiorentina when Cesare Prandelli arrived, and it seems the Italian played a big part in the striker's rise and set him on the path to a possible Arsenal transfer.
“The turning point in my career was the arrival of Cesare Prandelli,” Vlahovic told Serbian outlet MozzartSport earlier this year.
“I was in the national team at that time and my friends sent me his statements saying that he had spoken very highly of me, but I didn’t pay much attention.
“Then I got back, we immediately sat down, talked and he explained what he wanted and what he planned to do with me.
“He told me not to worry, to be calm and that he would give me a chance. After five games, I finally scored and that goal has been the toughest of my career so far.”
Arteta makes Leno decision
Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta has told goalkeeper Bernd Leno that he can leave the club this window, football.london understands.
The German has fallen out of contention this season following the arrival of Aaron Ramsdale, with the Gunners open to offers for his signature.
However, he will only be allowed to depart should the Gunners find a replacement between now and the deadline, with New England Revolution stopper Matt Turner thought to be under consideration.
