Arsenal make £51m Milinkovic-Savic transfer decision as Inter Milan hatch Nuno Tavares plan

Now that the transfer window is officially open, things are starting to heat up. A number of moves have already been completed as negotiations continue over signings across the world.

For Arsenal, there are a number of high-profile players linked with a switch to the Emirates as Mikel Arteta looks to improve his squad. The Spaniard’s transfers worked out well last summer and he'll be looking for similar success this time too.

Although the Gunners narrowly missed out on a top four finish and Champions League qualification, Arteta will be hopeful that his side can go one step further next campaign as a result of better squad depth. With that said, here’s a look at the latest rumours linking players to the club.

Richarlison

As per The Athletic, Tottenham are interested in signing Richarlison, who had been linked with a move to Arsenal. There's been no formal bid yet and Spurs will only do so at the right price. They are also monitoring other targets.

Everton want more than reported €60million (£51million) but their need for funds is likely to reduce the fee. Those close to the Toffees think that a move to Spurs will happen.

Nuno Tavares

According to the Italian outlet Sport Today, Atalanta are looking at Tavares as a potential option.

They lost Robin Gosens to Inter Milan and are looking to add quality to play in a left-wing back role. Tavares has struggled with the defensive side of his responsibilities at Arsenal so far, however, he could find his feet in the slightly more offensive position.

Sergej Milinkovic-Savic

According to Italian outlet Corriere Dello Sport, Arsenal are supposedly willing to pay in the region of €60million (£51.3million) to land Serbian international Milinkovic-Savic. The Lazio stalwart has been with the Serie A side since 2015 and become known as one of the best players in his position in Italy.
