Arsenal ‘Invincibles' to be celebrated in new documentary after 20th anniversary

Arsenal’s ‘Invincibles’ are set to have the story of their remarkable unbeaten season told in a new documentary.

Work is understood to have started on the documentary, which will look back at Arsenal during the 2003-04 season.

The Gunners managed to go the whole Premier League campaign unbeaten that year as they won the title.

Last year marked the 20th anniversary of that achievement and many players from the squad were at the Emirates Stadium for the final game of the season.

No Premier League side has yet been able to match the efforts of Arsenal going through an entire season unbeaten on their way to winning the title.

The story of that season is set to be told by those from the squad and former goalkeeper Jens Lehmann revealed last year that he had bought the branding rights to the term ‘Invincibles’.

“I had the idea because the name ‘Invincibles’ becomes more and more popular approaching the 20th anniversary,” Lehmann told the Daily Mail.

“We have 28 players and 12 staff members, which includes the boss. The company has not been set up yet because we’re still preparing.

“Everybody will be a shareholder of the company. It’s easier to get all the members of our group in one company because you have costs and income created.

“The company gets the revenue and then hopefully everything is shared. If we have income, we are going to do something for a charity.”

It is yet to be announced or confirmed where the documentary on Arsenal’s Invincibles will be broadcast.
