Arsenal are interested in signing Montpellier starlet Elye Wahi, according to French outlet Juenes Footeux.
Wahi has established himself as one of Ligue 1's most exciting young forwards in recent times, netting 12 goals in 24 league outings this term, numbers that read even more impressive when you consider that he is still just 20 years old. It is claimed that the France Under-21 international is now being 'closely followed' by the Gunners, who would likely have to pay in the region of €30 million (£26.3 million) to prise him away from Montpellier in this summer's transfer window.
Tottenham Hotspur and Borussia Dortmund are also said to be interested in Wahi. However, Arsenal already are fairly stacked when it comes to their attack, with the likes of Gabriel Jesus, Eddie Nketiah and Leandro Trossard all regularly operating as centre-forwards for Mikel Arteta's side this season.

The north Londoners also have another young forward currently plying his trade in Ligue 1 in the form of Reims loanee Folarin Balogun. The Hale End academy graduate has enjoyed an extremely productive time in France, scoring 17 league goals this term but the youngster has admitted that he hasn't given much thought to his future at the Emirates Stadium as of yet.
“I haven’t thought that far if I’m honest,” he told football.london when asked about his future in north London. “I’ve just thought about this season.
"What I’ve been able to do so far, I’m sure it’s making a lot of noise - not just at Arsenal but everywhere. It’s just about continuing that, staying focused and helping the team achieve their maximum potential for this season. That’s as far as I’ve thought.”
