Arsenal are dealing with a number of injury issues ahead of a busy run of fixtures.
Thomas Partey and Emile Smith Rowe may both miss the trip to Everton on Saturday, which comes too soon for Gabriel Jesus and Reiss Nelson.
In the week, Mohamed Elneny was lost to a serious knee injury to add to Mikel Arteta’s headache.
The club are, however, hoping to have Jorginho available for a potential debut after his £12million arrival from Chelsea.
Here is your latest update on Arsenal injuries and their return dates...
Thomas Partey
The Ghanaian was taken off at half-time of last Friday’s FA Cup defeat at Manchester City and was assessed for a rib injury.
An initially positive diagnosis suggested Partey will be fit to face Everton. However, Arteta subsequently insisted he was still a doubt, but refused to rule out the player entirely at his pre-match press conference.
Emile Smith Rowe
On the morning of Arsenal’s trip to Manchester, Smith Rowe pulled out of the squad having picked up a thigh injury in training.
Standard Sport understands his absence was precautionary and not related to his previous four-month layoff following groin surgery. However, he remains sidelined this weekend.
Gabriel Jesus
The Brazilian striker recently enthused Gunners fans by posting a positive update to social media on his comeback from a knee operation - pulling his boots on for what appeared to be the first time in eight weeks.
However, boss Arteta said last week: “Hopefully we will have Gabriel back for the final months, it was a serious injury, a bit longer than we expected it. He is going to do everything he can to make it shorter but we’ll miss him for a while.”
Jorginho
Not suffering from an injury, as far as we know, Jorginho’s presence in the squad against Everton has been confirmed after his deadline day move.
Arsenal had a deadline of Thursday to register their new signing for Premier League action, with Arteta hinting that a debut could well loom at Goodison Park with Partey a doubt and Smith Rowe out.
Mohamed Elneny
A successful operation was carried out on Elneny’s right knee during the week after a training-ground injury.
The club confirmed their midfielder will therefore be “ruled out for an extended period of time” with no timeframe placed on his recovery.
Reiss Nelson
The winger uploaded a photograph of himself working in the gym this week with no indication from the club over the status of his comeback.
Nelson injured his hamstring in December and Arteta stated, at the time, that he would miss “a few weeks”.
