Arsenal will look to tee themselves up for Champions League progression this week.

While Mikel Arteta is refusing to give up on the Premier League title, the Gunners sit 13 points behind Liverpool in the table.

Arsenal drew 0-0 with Nottingham Forest last week, leaving them in need of a miracle if they are to claim the top prize in English football.

Still, all is not lost just yet. Arteta’s side travel to PSV Eindhoven on Tuesday for the first leg of their Champions League round of 16 tie and will be favourites to reach the quarter-finals.

It’s another huge week in the season for Arteta, so here’s a look at the latest Arsenal injuries.

Bukayo Saka

Bukayo Saka underwent surgery on a hamstring injury back in December.

The Gunners have sorely missed the England forward and excitement was raised when Arsenal released images of Saka in the gym during the club’s warm-weather training camp in Dubai.

However, given the nature of the injury, the winger will not be rushed back into action.

Arteta recently confirmed Saka wouldn’t return before the March international break, meaning he is set to miss both legs of the PSV clash.

Potential return date: April 2025

Gabriel Martinelli

Gabriel Martinelli suffered a hamstring injury during the Carabao Cup semi-final defeat at Newcastle last month.

Arteta recently hinted Martinelli could return before Saka but it seems unlikely he will be available until after the international break later this month.

“They’re evolving well, but they’re still a bit far,” he said.

“We have a meeting tomorrow to discuss where they are, especially Gabi. He has probably a chance before Bukayo to come in, but how soon that is, we’ll have to see how it goes in the next week or ten days.”

Potential return date: April 2025

Kai Havertz

Fellow forward Kai Havertz will miss the rest of the season after suffering a hamstring injury during the warm-weather training camp in Dubai.

Taking to Instagram, Havertz confirmed his surgery on the injury went successfully: “The last few days have been tough to process both physically and mentally. But yesterday was a good day. A successful op and a win.

“Thanks for all the messages of support over the last few days, it’s really helped. I’m now focused on my journey to full fitness and giving all the support I can give to the team in the background.”

Potential return date: Summer 2025

Gabriel Jesus

Gabriel Jesus underwent surgery on a serious knee injury suffered in January and is duly facing a significant period out of action.

Potential return date: Unknown

Takehiro Tomiyasu

Defender Takehiro Tomiyasu will miss the rest of the season after knee surgery.

The Japan international has mustered only six minutes all season after a troublesome knee issue impacted his fitness.

“I’ve had a surgery on my knee few days ago and I’ve already started my rehab to do what I love the most again,” he said in an Instagram post last month.

“It has been the toughest period in my career for sure and it carries on a bit more but I won’t give up. Thank you for your support and see you again.”

Potential return date: Unknown
