Leeds United will continue their fight for survival on Sunday as they face another difficult match with Arsenal. The Whites make the trip to the Emirates Stadium just two points above the drop, against a side looking to cement their place in the top four.
Arsenal have won their last three matches heading into the clash in north London, and will be hoping to secure another three points this weekend – which could prove pivotal with Tottenham Hotspur away at Liverpool around 18 hours earlier.
Ahead of this weekend’s meeting, here is an early look at Arsenal’s current injury situation.

Ben White – thigh
Ben White’s availability for another reunion with Leeds is doubtful after he missed the win at West Ham United with a muscular problem. He is set to undergo tests in the coming days to discover how long he may be out for.
What Arteta said (May 1): “Ben got injured against Manchester United, he felt a muscular problem and we checked him, and we will have to assess him in the next few days to see how he is.
Takehiro Tomiyasu – calf
After making his first appearance since New Years’ Day, Takehiro Tomiyasu left the field at West Ham with over 10 minutes to play alongside the medical staff. Arteta is hopeful, though, that he is fine and was only brought off as a precaution.
What Arteta said (May 1): "Tomiyasu is just that he had been out for so long and could not continue.”
Bukayo Saka – fatigue
Bukayo Saka was also brought off before the close of play at the London Stadium, but Arteta confirmed post-match it was just down to fatigue. Saka had also been nursing a knock in the week leading up to the clash with West Ham due to a knock picked up against Manchester United.
What Arteta said (May 1): “Bukayo was fine, he was really fatigued and he has been through a little injury as well.”
Kieran Tierney – knee
Key left-back Kieran Tierney is set to be missing for the rest of the season after a knee injury he picked up in the March international break. Tierney has undergone surgery and so won’t be available for the clash with Leeds.
What has been said (April 5): “Kieran felt discussion after a training session on Thursday. A specialist consultation took place and as a result of further discussions, it has been decided that he requires knee surgery.”
Thomas Partey – thigh
Thomas Partey also looks set to miss the remainder of the campaign with a thigh injury. Partey limped out of the 3-0 defeat to Crystal Palace in April, but Arteta does not think he will recover in time to feature again this season.
What Arteta said (April 29): “He’s progressing but he had a significant injury so we don’t expect him to make progress quickly enough to see him again this season.”
