Arsenal are set to remain without a quartet of injured players for their top-of-the-table Premier League clash with Manchester City on Wednesday.
Emile Smith Rowe and Reiss Nelson are closing in on a return ahead of the midweek Emirates encounter but it is likely to be too soon for the pair to be involved. Gabriel Jesus remains absent while Mohamed Elneny is also sidelined.
The latter is a few weeks away from a return while Brazilian striker Jesus is getting nearer to full fitness but won't feature against City. Smith Rowe and Nelson are closing in on a return and Gunners chief Mikel Arteta will provide an update in his pre-match press conference ahead of the contest.

Smith Rowe has been suffering with a thigh problem having been plagued with a groin injury for much of a campaign which has seen him make only five Premier League appearances. Nelson has not featured since November but is getting back up to speed ahead of an imminent return.
But the duo, along with Jesus and Elneny, will miss the visit of Pep Guardiola's side. The game pits first against second with City knowing a win in the capital will take them above their title rivals. City beat Aston Villa 3-1 on Sunday to cut the gap to the leaders to three points.
