Arsenal are leading the race for Youri Tielemans as reports claim that the Leicester City midfielder is in talks with the Gunners over a switch. The Belgium international was heavily linked with a move to the Emirates Stadium in the summer, but missed out on landing him.
The 25-year-old is set to be a free agent next summer, with a new deal at the King Power Stadium looking unlikely at this stage. Arsenal's midfield may be an area for reinforcement in the near future, with Mohamed Elneny set to be a free agent himself at the end of the season.
"It's not something we are thinking of [selling Tielemans] and not anything the club have said we need to do," Leicester manager Brendan Rodgers said earlier this season. "We don't want to be offloading our best players, that's for sure."

However, with the midfielder's deal coming to an end, it could change how the January transfer window plays out for the Foxes. It could also be accelerated amid reports of talks over an exit, whether that's in the winter market or in the summer as a free agent.
Journalist Sacha Tavolieri claims that Tielemans is currently in fresh talks with Arsenal over a transfer to the club, but a deal is not done yet. While that is the case, the Gunners are currently leading the race to land him ahead of other teams chasing his services, with the likes of Barcelona being linked.
It remains to be seen if an agreement could change Arteta's decision over his squad and accelerate the deal for January or if he waits until the summer when he is free and there's space in the squad.
