Arsenal have already been told why they should sign £31.5m star by Tottenham boss Antonio Conte

Arsenal have been linked with a late move for Juventus loanee, Alvaro Morata.

The Gunners have so far failed to sign a striker in January but have until 11pm tonight to change things.

With Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang likely to move to Barcelona before the end of the window, and after missing out on top target Dusan Vlahovic to Juventus, Arsenal fans are calling out for the Gunners to strengthen up front.

One name who's been linked with a late move is Morata, who is currently on loan at Juve from Atletico Madrid.

Although the Spaniard has always been in and around the top clubs, he's yet to reach the heights expected of him.

However, the £31.5million-rated man - as valued by transfermarkt - has played for the likes of Real Madrid, Ateltico and Juventus because of his talent, and he's appreciated by the top managers, including Antonio Conte.

“I like Alvaro because he is a complete player and also has a lot of room to improve,” Conte said of the striker, who played under him at Chelsea, as cited by HITC.

“He’s very committed and his behaviour is fantastic. He is a very polite player — I like this — and I like his finishing.

“Morata feels the goal in every moment — he’s very good at understanding which is the best position in the box to receive the ball, to understand where the ball is going.”

Conte has suggested that Morata can be an important player for any club who signs him, and Arsenal could benefit from completing his transfer.

Nevertheless, there's still a lot to do with very little time left, and for now - at least - it looks as though he may stay put in Turin.
