Arsenal have been handed a transfer boost in their pursuit of Jarrod Bowen as West Ham target a move for Ligue 1 star Martin Terrier.
Terrier scored 21 goals for Stade Rennes last season, more than Paris Saint-Germain superstars Lionel Messi and Neymar combined (19). Reports suggested the Gunners met with Bowen's representatives last week as Edu targets more signings before the transfer deadline.
The 25-year-old winger enjoyed a brilliant season in claret and blue last term, scoring 18 goals and registering 13 assists in 51 games for David Moyes' side. Bowen has been linked with a move to Liverpool this summer, but Arsenal are said to be looking to beat the Reds to signing the England international as Mikel Arteta hopes to add another attacker to his squad.

football.london understands the Gunners remain interested in signing PSV Eindhoven star Cody Gakpo this summer, but a deal may prove difficult with the Dutch winger keen to ensure he earns a place in the Netherlands squad for the World Cup later this year. Following reports that Arsenal made contact with Bowen's camp as they search for another attacker to add to their ranks, West Ham are pursuing a deal for a potential replacement for the 25-year-old in Stade Rennes' Martin Terrier, according to GFFN.
The Hammers have already completed the signing of former Rennes defender Nayef Aguerd and could enter negotiations with the French side once again as they pursue a deal for Terrier. West Ham are said to be close to confirming a second summer arrival in former Gunners transfer target Gianluca Scamacca from Sassuolo as well, but the Rennes attacker could be a potential suitor for the north Londoners to look at should they fail to lure Bowen away from West Ham.
The Daily Mail reported last month that the Hammers want to double Bowen's £60,000-per-week wages to secure a contract renewal and ward off any transfer interest in him. Arsenal and Liverpool are the main clubs interested in the English winger and both clubs would be able to offer significantly more wages compared to David Moyes' side, whilst talks over a renewal at the London Stadium may not happen until the end of the transfer window however, leaving the door open for potential suitors to make an approach for Bowen.
