Arsenal's dream start to the Premier League continued on Saturday when Mikel Arteta guided his side to a huge 3-1 victory over Tottenham in the North London Derby. While the usual bragging rights were up for grabs, so too was the chance for either team to put their title credentials to the test.
The Gunners overcame the challenges they faced as goals from Thomas Partey, Gabriel Jesus and Granit Xhaka cancelled out Harry Kane's penalty strike. Up next is a Europa League tie against Bodo/Glimt at the Emirates before they face Liverpool next weekend.
"It [momentum] is [important] because the next match in the Europa League here is going to be really tough," Arteta said reflecting on the win. "But we have that now and it’s so powerful and meaningful for us. The next step is to go and do many other things. But we have to, first of all, have what we have, and with that group of players, I think it’s much nicer and easier that something can happen."

One player who will be crucial to any potential push for the title this season with be summer arrival Gabriel Jesus, who impressed yet again on Saturday. The Brazilian is averaging a goal contribution once every game so far this season, with his ability both on and off the ball giving Arteta plenty in his system.
It will come as a huge boost to the manager that Jesus will be available for the clash at Anfield after a recent scare. The striker was on four yellow cards before the North London Derby, meaning one more would see him suspended for the match against Liverpool.
However, he avoided getting booked, meaning he will be a selection option for the manager when he looks to pick his squad. There will be hopes that over the next few games he can avoid that fifth yellow card though, as he will still miss whatever the next game will be.
