Arteta remains tight-lipped on Pepe as Ivorian nears move
Mikel Arteta was unwilling to "talk about individuals" after he left Nicolas Pepe out of Arsenal's matchday squad for the 3-0 win over Bournemouth on Saturday evening.
Pepe appears ever-closer to making a return to Ligue 1, with OGC Nice in discussions over a loan move for the 27-year-old. Should a move be completed, the Ivorian will join Folarin Balogun and Nuno Tavares as the next Gunners first-team player to join a French club on loan.

When asked how close Arsenal's record signing was to joining Nice, Arteta claimed: "We don't talk about individuals. There were a few players that we have to leave out of the squad, unfortunately. It's painful, but we try to bring the team and the squad that is in the best condition to give us the best chance to win the game."
Cody Gakpo to Arsenal: Huge boost, Everton scout, Man United move
Cody Gakpo is attracting interest from top Premier League clubs, with Arsenal thought to be keen on adding a new attacker to Mikel Arteta's squad after missing out on signing Raphinha from Leeds.
The Sun report that the Gunners may be handed a boost in their bid to secure Gakpo's signature if the winger's current side PSV Eindhoven lose their Champions League qualifier against Rangers in midweek. Reports suggest that they may be forced to sell Gakpo to comprehend missing out on potential money from being in the competition.
However, the same outlet also claim that Frank Lampard has sent scouts to watch Gakpo over a potential move to Everton this summer. The Toffees are eyeing a forward replacement for Richarlison, who swapped Goodison Park for Tottenham Hotspur this summer.
Manchester United are another side linked with the 23-year-old, and the Athletic state that Erik ten Haag has identified Gakpo as an alternative to Ajax winger Antony, who United have seen an €80million (£68million) offer turned down for.
Man United could help Arsenal secure a move for Youri Tielemans
The saga of Youri Tielemans' potential transfer to Arsenal has dragged on since the end of the last season to the beginning of the new campaign. However, recent developments could finally settle the Belgian's future.
Manchester United could be key in helping Arsenal to secure the Belgian's signature, with Leicester reportedly targeting a midfielder from Erik ten Hag's side.
According to the Mirror, Leicester are bracing themselves for a late move from Arsenal, and Rodgers wants to have targets lined up in case they lose Tielemans. One Target, the Foxes, are planning to sign is James Garner from Manchester United, who are reportedly willing to sell the midfielder for £15m.
