Aaron Ramsdale concedes Diogo Jota "sent him to the shops" when he scored past him in the Premier League.
Liverpool have twice beaten the Gunners this term, sticking four past them in a rampant Anfield win before seeing them off in their Carabao Cup semi-final. Jota has made a habit of scoring against Arsenal since signing from Wolves over 18 months ago. He grabbed his side's third in their win over the north Londoners back in November.
The hosts were already 2-0 up and cruising towards another win before Jota notched in front of the Kop. He cut in from the right and finished smartly, faking a shot which saw Ramsdale dive before the Portuguese star slotted into an empty net. The Arsenal goalkeeper, who signed from Sheffield United in the summer, admits the Liverpool forward is one of several players to "rinse him" in a Q&A on Sky Sports.
He said: "Ronaldo, Aguero, Vardy, Jota - he sent me to the shops didn't he. It is the goals you look at and think 'he made me look a plonker really'." Despite his confession Ramsdale has enjoyed a hugely successful season at Arsenal despite questions being asked about his signing. The shotstopper is now expected to be part of England's World Cup squad this winter,
Jota scored his first Liverpool goal against the Gunners, finishing past Bernd Leno last term, back when the German was first choice at the Emirates. In the return fixture, a 3-0 win in north London, Jota scored twice before he grabbed his fourth goal in three games against the Gunners in the Anfield success this term.
The 25-year-old also scored a decisive brace when the two teams met in the second-leg of the Carabao Cup semi-final back in January. Jota has proved to be a huge success since moving from Molineux for more than £40m. He headed to Anfield but wasn't expected to disrupt a front three that had been hugely successful for Jurgen Klopp.

However his goals and performances saw calls for him to replace Roberto Firmino and he has now made himself a regular. Klopp said after his Carabao Cup display: "We scored two wonderful goals, Diogo Jota on fire. We were completely convinced when he arrived at the club he would help us massively.
Since he is here he has made another step, he has turned into a really world-class striker. Mentality mixed with quality is the reason we signed him. Of course he scored two goals, he is incredibly important to us, so it is that mix of his skills that is really exciting. He is in good shape as well and long may it continue.”
