Arsenal fans will love what Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has said about Chelsea

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has admitted that the best goal of his career was in an Arsenal shirt.

The former Gunner moved to Barcelona at the beginning of this month after mutually agreeing to terminate his contract early at the Emirates.

Aubameyang became a free agent on deadline day and agreed to sign for Barcelona, a deal that was eventually finalised after some minor complications regarding his La Liga registration.

He was stripped of the Gunners captaincy in December for disciplinary reasons, something that ended up being the final straw for Mikel Arteta, who dropped him without any hesitation.

It goes to show how quickly things can change in football, and even though Aubameyang done a lot for the club in the four years he was there, his legacy will arguably be tarnished by how his Arsenal career ended.

Nevertheless, he looks back at his time in north London with fondness, and he's even said the best goal of his career was scored in a red and white shirt.

When asked the question in a recent interview with Barcelona's media team, the 32-year-old replied: "Against Chelsea in the FA Cup," he said, as seen on social media site Reddit.

Aubameyang was referring to the second of his two goals in 2020's final of the competition, where he tucked away a delicate chip to hand Arsenal their record 14th FA Cup title.

It was the only major honour he lifted as Arsenal captain, but the goal will live long in the memory of Gunners fans, and their former star's admission is likely to only make them miss him that little bit more.
