Arsenal supporters were left fuming after Tottenham Hotspur were given a penalty during their Premier League clash against Burnley on Sunday afternoon.
Spurs clinched a 3-0 victory against the Gunners on Thursday afternoon, a result that closed the gap in the race for fourth place. Mikel Arteta 's side were only one point ahead of the Lillywhites going into this weekend's action and Tottenham broke the deadlock against Burnley thanks to a contentious penalty that left Arsenal fans extremely annoyed.
Clarets attackers Ashley Barnes was penalised after he was adjudged to have handled the ball in the area before the north Londoners dispatched their spot-kick thanks to prolific frontman Kane. Gunners supporters took to social media to point out a similar penalty decision that went against them during last season's 1-1 draw at Turf Moor.

Here is what a select few said on Twitter.
@ThatmanofkentOf : "Never in a million years. @premierleague want Spurs in the champions league."
@Madror7 : "By letter of the law I yes, human sensibility no. The problem is if that’s a shot, and your arm is that high, it’s clear obstruction of a goal scoring attempt. But it wasn’t a shot… can you realistically rely on refs to differentiate an attempt on goal & playing the ball? Idk."
@AFCIsmailinho : "That's never a penalty."
@Parlay85 : "At this point....I genuinely think there's an agenda."
