Arsenal supporters let their feelings known towards referee Paul Tierney during the Gunners' clash against Manchester United at Old Trafford.
Tierney was the man in the middle for the game and he was involved in a controversial moment in the game. Arsenal saw an 11th minute goal disallowed after a VAR check.
Gabriel Martinelli thought he'd put Arsenal ahead at Old Trafford, but the goal was chalked off as Martin Odegaard was penalised for a push on Christian Eriksen. Tierney went over to the screen to look at the incident, and after a lengthy check, disallowed the goal. The likes of Gary Lineker and Alan Shearer took to social media to vent their anger at the decision.

It proved to be a huge call, with Arsenal going on to lose the game 3-1 against their old rivals, with a debut goal from Antony and a brace from Marcus Rashford giving the hosts the victory, despite Bukayo Saka's strike on the hour mark. During the second half, the travelling Arsenal fans at Old Trafford could be heard chanting; 'Paul Tierney, he's one of your own!'.
Before the game, some Arsenal fans raised their concerns over Tierney refereeing the match. The 41-year-old is from Salford, Greater Manchester, while Lee Mason, who was on VAR, is from Bolton - also in Greater Manchester.
