Youri Tielemans had quite the weekend amid talk of a summer transfer to Arsenal.
The 24-year-old could be the next high-profile player to depart Leicester City in the last six years, following in the footsteps of N'Golo Kante, Riyad Mahrez, Ben Chilwell and Harry Maguire.
And with Italian transfer expert, Fabrizio Romano reporting last Friday night that the Belgian will not be extending his deal at the King Power Stadium, the Foxes risk losing Tielemans for free if they don't make a sale in the next two transfer windows.
"I've been told Youri Tielemans will NOT extend his contract with Leicester. New deal bid has been turned down - current one expires in 2023," Romano wrote on Twitter. "Of course Youri will be professional, he’s focused on Leicester. Many top clubs want him for June."
For Arsenal to stand a chance of signing Tielemans ahead of London rivals Chelsea, who are also reportedly interested in the midfielder, then Champions League qualification could be crucial.
The Gunners are currently two points off fourth-placed West Ham United and that is thanks in part to Tielemans and Leicester.
Having fallen behind to Jarrod Bowen's goal on Sunday afternoon, the Belgium international equalised from the penalty spot on the stroke of half-time before the two teams traded goals in the second half as the game ended all square.
That result completed a perfect weekend for the north London outfit - who weren't even in action - as Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur also dropped points in the race for fourth.
So for Tielemans to reportedly reject a new Leicester contract amid talk of a summer transfer to Arsenal and then score a goal to help take points off the Gunners' top-four rivals, it naturally brought about a strong reaction on social media.

With that said, Leicester boss Brendan Rodgers has insisted that Tielemans has not rejected a new contract offer and praised the midfielder's professionalism.
"He hasn't declined. For me his position is exactly the same as what it was," Rodgers told reporters after the 2-2 draw with West Ham. "He's a fantastic player and there's been no movement whatsoever, he's a player who has continued to work and is working well.
“Till the last day he's here whether that’s at the end of the contract or summer or beyond that, he will always give his best because he's a top professional and he showed his commitment today. There's interest trying to be generated by other people."
