Arsenal fans floored by Adidas announcement as new reveal dropped

Arsenal fans have been left impressed by Adidas' latest range of merchandise for their club.

The German brand revealed their 2022/23 Icons range on Wednesday, collaborating with Arsenal and the other top clubs in their stable. Celtic and Manchester United have also had an Icons range created, similar to last seasons' throwback to the Teamgeist kits worn in the 2000s.

The Icons release comes hot on the heels of reported 'leaks' of next season's kits and training top, with a striking half-and-half number expected to be worn in warm-ups by Arsenal players. Adidas' Icons release, while pricey at £90 for an 'Icons top', has gone down well with supporters.

In the range is also a t-shirt, goalkeeper t-shirt and tracksuit bottoms and shorts. One supporter said on social media: "I actually love it, my club does not miss."

Another added: "Let's add three points to this beautiful history," while a third Arsenal fan said "Classic." "I like the red one, also nice that the cannon is enough to identify Arsenal - it is subtle and elegant," another added while a fifth Gunners supporter said: "I know where all my wages are going."

Adidas and Arsenal reunited in 2019 after a two-decade break when the club had its kit manufactured by Nike and Puma. Given the success of the partnership, both sides agreed to extend their deal until 2030 back in September.

Should Arsenal be successful in their Premier League title charge, Adidas' kits will become even more popular. "We teamed up with Adidas at the start of the 2019/20 season, reuniting after 25 years," a statement read.

"Since the beginning of the latest partnership, we’ve broken new ground with compelling purpose-led campaigns and product ranges rooted in London’s culture which continue to inspire and engage our supporters around the world. The extended partnership will have an increased focus on Arsenal Women with enhanced marketing rights that will bring greater global exposure for the team and players - continuing our joint commitment to drive the women’s game forward."
