Arsenal are interested in signing Barcelona youngster Ansu Fati if recent reports are to be believed.
According to Spanish outlet Cadena Cop, the Gunners have made contact with Fati’s agent Jorge Mendes to enquire about the availability of the player ahead of the summer transfer window. The talented attacker enjoyed a breakthrough season during the 2019/20 campaign before the Blaugrana awarded him with a new contract containing a €1billion (£892million) release clause.
However, the 20-year-old has struggled with several injuries over the last couple of seasons and it is said that he is concerned about his status within Xavi's squad, with the former central midfielder changing his system this term. Fati has started just seven La Liga games this season, coming off the bench in a further 13, contributing three goals and three assists in the process.

Manchester United have also been linked with the young winger in recent times, although Xavi rubbished talk of an exit, claiming that it will work out for the player at the Camp Nou. "No, no, no... Things will work out for him," Xavi told Sport when asked about a potential transfer.
"We have to be patient. Ansu is a spectacular asset to the club. We trust him a lot, he is working very well. I am very happy with his tremendous mentality in training, but be patient.
"He is 20 years old and needs time, like everyone else. Things will work out for him, now is not the time to talk about sales."
